Today and Tomorrow

- By Binoy K. Samuel
I wish to tell you a story,
A story simple, that's true.
Not one to bring me glory;
Such things to God accrue.

Nay, t'is a story full of love
For the One Who has sustained
Me though stormy weather
When sun waxed and waned.

When moonlight faded in the heights
And feet had trouble to see,
There always was a guiding hand
Nudging and lifting me.

Occasionally, I would look up
And see no-one there,
But then I'm sure I heard a laugh
A joyous rumble somewhere.

Lions roared and vultures soared,
And yet I did not fear
For Jesus Christ, His Righteousness,
Was most certainly near.

A presence sublimely wonderful
Would gently then cover me.
If fears were there, to hell they went,
Perhaps where they should be.

A spring of assurance in my heart
Would then overflow,
With promises of strength and courage

For Now,
Today,
Tomorrow.
