If you get one of the Pac-Man emulators listed below working, be sure to give my own custom-designed version of Pac-Man, Xen's Revenge a try! |

Microsoft's Return of Arcade: This is a
commercial collection of 4 games, which sells for about $30. It includes
Pac-Man, and it's a pretty good conversion of the original. It's not
quite perfect (I've found at least one pattern that will work on the
arcade version but not on Microsoft's), but it's darned close. As an
extra bonus, for your $30 you get Pole Poition, Dig-Dug and Galaxian with
it as well. You can download a trial version
of the Pac-Man game contained in Return of Arcade at:

New! PacMAME: A new version of MAME (The Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) designed to play just Pac-Man and all the variations of it (Ms. Pac-Man, Puck-Man, Hangly Man, etc.) A nifty Win95 tray menu for it is available too, see the Win95/98 section above! http://mameworld.retrogames.com/pacmame/pacmame.shtml |

PacPC: One of the best free versions of Pac-Man I've seen is PacPC v2.0, which is available on
JROK's page. He also has a free version of Ms. Pac-Man which is as good
as the real thing when run in full screen mode.

|
MAME: An even better verion is the emulated version included in MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator.) It's also
free, is nearly perfect because it's an emulation (original Pac-Man arcade
patterns work and such), but you'll need a copy of the original Midway
Pac-Man ROM images to play. Those are available on the net as well, but
they're hard to find, and technically they're illegal to use unless you
own a Pac-Man arcade game yourself. Use at your own risk. You can find MAME at:
