Allston is the heart of the Boston music scene. It has cheap housing and plenty of clubs, bars, and liquor stores. It affords easy access to Kenmore Square and Central Square, Cambridge (where 80% of the area's nightclubs are located). It even has convenience stores that sell guitar strings 24 hours a day.
